Maddie started a "Parent's day out" program this week. She just goes one day a week from 9:00 until 2:00. She did great!! When I dropped her off and gave her a hug she knew something was different and leaned into me. I teared up when saying goodbye since this was the longest I had ever left her. The teacher whisked her away to play with dolls while I snuck out of the room. I called once to check in and was told the class was out for a stroll but everyone was happy. It was fun picturing her with her classmates strolling :). She ate great and slept for an hour and 4o mins. As an added bonus she was a little angel the rest of the day once I picked her up and ate a great dinner too. As for me, it was strange not having her home. I was tiptoeing around my house because it just felt like she was upstairs sleeping. I was busy the entire 5 hours cleaning and doing errands. Grocery shopping is a lot faster without a toddler on my hip or pulling things off of shelves (she's not a big fan of riding in the cart.)
Ready to go.
"mmmm, lunch!"
"Mom, I don't like the looks of this."

YEAH! I'm so glad she had a good time. Great napper too. I usually only get 45 minutes from Emory at school. You need some time too to get things done!
that is sooo good for both of you. I'm glad Maddie had a fun time. I need to find something like that in cincinnati. She is so cute. Can't wait to see you next week.
