Our low-key weekend

Jon worked all weekend so the girls and I just played at home. It was nice having no plans and playing it low-key for once since our weeks are so busy now days.

I'm really trying to have more patience lately and not stress about little things. One of those things is water play. I usually don't let Maddie play in the sink because it makes a mess. I decided to let it go because it's not dangerous and she enjoys it. She played quietly by herself (which seldom happens) for an hour!! I think we'll be doing that again.

Maddie in front of water + Caitlyn in front of Tupperware = a moment of peace for mom.

Maddie in the same outfit. Maddie fit into it at 15 months and Caitlyn is wearing it at 9 months. It's so funny to look back at old pictures. She still does that with her tongue.

Another kissable face, just like the one I posted 2 years ago

We're training Maddie to take over our bedtime routine by rocking Caitlyn

and reading to her.

I love Boden clothing. We just received this dress. Maddie put it on, looked in the mirror and said "I'm pretty now." I hope she has that same confidence for the rest of her life.

Some friends from school (taken earlier in the week)

Lots of pictures

This has been a busy month.

I braved the mall and shoe shopping by myself. It went well and we even made it through dinner at the food court.

A nice day for ice cream and the park.

The weather has been great lately.

"mmmm, peaches."

I love sneaking into Caitlyn's room while she sleeps. She's so precious.

Hard at work.

Off to see Barney.

Singing with him.

Helping Caitlyn eat dinner.

Gramma came to help out while Jon was away on an interview.

"Gramma, you know I can't walk yet, right?"

Dancing while at lunch.

We attempted the zoo but it started to pour on the drive there. Maddie was so disappointed so Gramma arranged our own little zoo for us to picnic in.

Maddie loves art. Luckily Gramma does too.

Caitlyn only eats table food now.

I came downstairs to find that Maddie had pulled both highchairs into her playroom. She had to have a spot to feed each baby.
