October

October has been full of fun activities so I thought I'd actually blog about it :)  It started off with a trip to St. Louis.  It was so much fun to see so much family.  We did the arch, children's museum, the zoo, my aunt's and uncle's farm in Illinois, dinner with another aunt and family and lunch with Jon's cousin and husband.  Maddie was so sad to leave and asks to go back all the time.  I think the highlight for her was the helicopter ride around the arch.

We drive all the way to the farm and the girls still prefer to play in the car.

They adore Anna and had a great time playing with her.

The next weekend we went to a pumpkin patch near our home.

Just so you know she wanted the hair clip right on top of her head.

This past weekend we trick or treated at the zoo.  It was a lot of fun.

I love this picture.  Maddie's mouth dropped open when the headless horseman started moving.

Minnie mouse is giving us a quality pout in this picture.

Holiday World

We visited my Aunt and Uncle in Santa Claus, Indiana over the weekend and spent a day and a half at Holiday World.  It was so much fun.  The weather was beautiful and the girls had a blast, especially Maddie.  She's fearless when it comes to heights so she loved all the rides (except for some reason she's afraid of the Merry-go-round).

All moved in!

Whoa, it's been 3 months since my last post!  This is why.

We moved from this house into . . .

and we couldn't be happier.  It is definitely our dream home.  I hope that provides an answer to why I've been out of touch.  We made an offer on the new house then worked very hard for two weeks to get our other house ready to sell.  Luckily we sold that house and then just had to worry about smooth transactions and closings.  After all that was done we had to pack everything up and move with two very active children.  All I can say is I'm glad it's all over and it was so worth it.  I'm in bliss.

Our last walk in the neighborhood

Maddie helped pack some toys

Luckily the TV was the last to go.

Caitlyn's hide away during the move.  She slept for 3 hours in Maddie's closet.

Maddie's hideaway.  No nap for her!

First things first...chill a cheap, plastic bottle of wine

Maddie worked for a long time at unpacking the couch with safety scissors.

Caitlyn's up!

Our first dinner in the new house.

Gramma stayed for a week to help unpack.  She was a lifesaver.

I think this is my favorite room in the house.

Casper also enjoys the screened in porch :)
