20 months old!

I can't believe that Maddie will be 20 months on Friday! Here are some pictures from the last week or so. I'm sure you can tell who captioned them :)

Another cute outfit for school. A little classmate of hers had the same top on.

Caroline's wedding

This week Maddie and I took an unexpected trip to Santa Claus, IN. My cousin sent me a message on Wednesday that she was getting married! I excitedly wrote back asking if she had a date but I didn't expect the answer to be on Friday! So Caroline's married now. I couldn't be happier for her. She's the sweetest, most caring person you'll ever meet. As an example, Maddie woke up on Friday morning at 5:20. I barely had time to wake up and look at the clock before Caroline jumped out of bed and ran upstairs to be with her. No one has ever done that for me before, except maybe my mom or Elaine. I'm always amazed by how caring and loving she is. Maddie and Caroline became friends quickly and Maddie cried when it was time to leave.

Isaac, her fiance, is also so caring and I know is a great match for Caroline. They are going to live in Carollton Kentucky, which excites me so I can stop and see them every time I drive to Cincinnati (they don't know this yet :))

It's amazing how the wedding came together in just 3 days! Gayle did a great job. There were 22 guests who could make the trip on such short notice. Gayle put together a reception for her which included food, decorations and a cake. Caroline bought a wedding dress just for fun back in 2001 for $15 and it still fit! I lent her my veil and shoes to complete her outfit. One of Isaac's cousins is launching a photography business so she took all of the pictures to use as her portfolio. Caroline and Isaac are going to have another wedding ceremony and reception later this year so more people can make it. I was sad that Caroline's 2 sisters or brother couldn't be there. The next wedding will be a blast with all the family!

If you personally know Caroline (Anna :)), please don't write anything on her Facebook page until next Friday. They have a bunch of friends who don't know yet and they want to tell in person.

Caroline's bachelorette party.
Me: Ahhh, this is Maddie's first Bachelorette party.
Caroline: Yeah, and she's the only one showing her underpants! (Maddie's skirt was around her waist)

Caroline even did a shot that night (of NyQuil)

Wedding Day! Gayle is dressed for the occasion:)

The girl already loves sparkly shoes.

Fueling up before the ceremony.

Wishing Caroline good luck.

Maddie did not want to sit still and was crazy about this wagon.

The Reception

Decorative cake. The real (ice cream) cake was brought out later.

This is where Maddie grabs a grape then runs away from Mommy. That's her favorite thing right now. She'll be into something and as soon as I move towards her to take it away she'll jump and run the other direction. It's pretty cute.

She ate so well. She even liked dipping crackers into the chili.

Joining the celebration with sparking grape juice.

"Mmmmm, I like this!"

Picture of Caroline, me and my brother.

They needed a heavy-duty knife to cute through the ice cream.

I left Maddie with Uncle Chip after the reception so I could pack the car. I come back and she has chocolate all around her mouth. As I'm watching she's walks between Chip and a big pile of hershey kisses and he unwraps it for her. He told her she can have as many as she can gather. Haha, great. After the sugary grape juice, the ice cream cake, and a gazillion hershey kisses I didn't think there was any chance she'd sleep on the drive home. I left at 7, her bedtime, so thankfully she fell asleep right away and slept the entire trip. She even transferred from the car seat to bed once at home.

Thanks for a great Wedding!!!!! Congrats Caroline and Isaac!!
