Digital Scrapping

I decided to try digital scrapping. I have put off working on Maddie's scrapbook because in order to work on it I need to spread out paper and tools and completely take over the dining room table. Digital scrapping doesn't make a mess, plus I think I enjoy it more because it's easier to change designs once started on a page and doesn't take as long (once I learn the software). Here are my first two pages. I'm certainly not creative enough to come up with layouts myself so I use http://www.scrap-maps.com/ for ideas (thanks for the website Alyson, and for teaching me how to digital scrap :))

Memorial Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful memorial day! Our friends came over for a barbecue. We had a great time.

Carter and Maddie were instant friends

Unfortunately there was a downpour for most of the party, so the guys moved the grill under the arbor and stuck an umbrella up through the vines. Smart move, I guess that's why they're all doctors.

The kids side of the table. Unfortunately the picture I took of the whole gang came out blurry.

The boys checking out Maddie. Jon is practising for her teenage years and keeping a close eye on things.

3 month photos

Maddie's photos are in.  To view them go to http://www.kristinaunephotography.com/  Select "Client Session Galleries".  You have to open an account but then you can view the photos.  I think they turned out great!!

Happy memory

One year ago was the happiest day of my life (except for February 2nd and April 8th of course). I woke up at 4 in the morning to take this test.

I cried that the dream of Maddie was finally coming true. We waited a whole 4 hours to tell our parents, and then a whole day to tell all of our friends.

16 weeks old

She's such a little cuddle-bug now.

A future Dr. Madeline Schneider checking out her dads pager.

Fastened into the jogging stroller. We didn't go running with her because she's still too little.

Hey Look, I can grab the giraffe.

I bet it tastes good.

Watching Baby Einstein, Beethoven edition.

OOO, this looks tasty

Yup, I was right. Now if I only could fit them all in my mouth.

Family Pictures

These pictures were taken in front of our rose bush out back.

Maddie started to get fussy when we brought her inside after the photo shoot. It was really warm outside so I took off her dress and wet a washcloth. I gave her a little sponge bath and put the washcloth on her head. She felt a lot better after that.

I love sucking on my fingers!!

Look at my feet!!!

mmmmmm, yummy feet!

Tummy time breakthrough

Today Maddie successfully completed her first tummy time. Up to this point she did not get the hang of tummy time and would keep her face on the ground. Even after I bought the tummy time mat she would not buy into it. Today she held her head up and used her arms as well to hold herself up. She still got fussy after a while but I think after a couple more times she'll start to enjoy it.

Al and Elaine's visit

We had a great weekend with Al and Elaine. Here are some highlights.

On Friday we went to a barbecue at the Sounds game hosted by the VHA.

On Saturday we went to the Internal Medicine end of year picnic.

I thought Maddie looked adorable in the headband, Jon didn't like it though.

Maddie's 3 month photo shoot. Hopefully the pictures will be ready in a few days :)
