JoJo loves Maddie. He constantly tries to get close to her.






The other night when I woke to feed Maddie, the door was wide open and JoJo was sitting next to her crib. I now make sure her door is latched closed so JoJo sleeps curled up outside.

She turned herself 90 degrees in the five minutes I left her alone.

Uncle Jeff visits

Jeff visited from Turkey this week. He and Maddie had many bonding walks around the house and up and down the stairs. He was a pro at comforting her :)

Strapped in and ready to go

I strapped Maddie into her stroller without using the infant seat. I thought she might enjoy this position because she can see more on the walk. We actually didn't end up walking because once I got outside I realized the sun was in her face and the sunshade did not block it. This could be a problem in the future. We turned around to come home right away. Poor Jo Jo, he really wanted to walk.

Sitting like a big girl

Jon's attending took him and his team out to breakfast this morning at Pancake Pantry. You'll never guess who was sitting at the table next to them.... Jessica Simpson. I'm so jealous, I love spotting celebrities. We've seen Kenny Chesney eating at Amerigo, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman driving around Green Hills in his Bentley, I met Jamie Denton at a talk his wife was giving, and Elaine saw Carrie Underwood at the airport. I love Nashville. The only other cities where you spot celebrities on a regular basis are LA and NY.


Maddie and I didn't have quite as eventful of a day. I took her to the Y for the first time this morning. She did great. She usually takes a long morning nap so I was hoping she'd sleep the whole time. When we arrived I put her in the swing and she fell asleep right away. She woke up as soon as I walked in the door so it was great timing. I wish my workout went as smooth. I'll certainly sleep well tonight, except for the 3 or 4 times Maddie wakes me. She seems to wake up more often lately. I woke up this morning completely exhausted since she woke 4 times last night. She went to bed at 7:30 tonight, which is about an hour and a half earlier than usual, so I'm hoping she'll sleep better. I'm posting a picture of her napping today just because I think her outfit was adorable and I know most people check the website for pictures of her, not for our celebrity sighting updates :)

Beautiful day in Nashville

Today was absolutely gorgeous outside. It was sunny and 75 so we met up with some friends at the park.

First playgroup

Maddie went to her first play group today and made a friend. Noah Hill asked to hold her and didn't want to let her go. He kept trying to give her hugs(coming from a 2 year old they were rougher than she's used to) and did a great job sitting still and holding her. His mom, Kelly, is due any day now with a little brother for him. Maddie did great at play group. She was happy for the most part and slept in my arms for about 20 minutes since she didn't have an afternoon nap. We look forward to joining the group again, and eventually she'll be able to play with all the other great kids.

Maddie is now passed out in her swing. On the drive home she started crying, which I never like to hear but since it's not a long drive I decided not to stop. When we got home she wasn't hungry and just wanted to be held and walked around. Every time I sat down she'd start crying again. Poor baby. She was just really tired. As soon as Jon got home I gave her to him to give my back a little break. After 5 minutes of him walking around she was asleep. Way to go Jon!
