Caitlyn learned to climb.
We had drastic weather changes.
Jon stopped moonlighting so we can spend more time as a family. This is a huge change because he used to work every weekend. This is us at the zoo watching an airplane.
Spending time with some friends.
Cooling off in our back yard.
Look who's driving now.
Jon and I took a vacation to Antigua at the end of June. It was so wonderful!!! We went with our good friends and all enjoyed the time away (and unlimited drinks and food) The girls stayed with my parents and did great (which is a good thing because we're already planning our next trip :))
This is my drink of choice, the chocolate monkey.
When we got back Maddie had one more week of summer camp. The biggest change was Caitlyn started walking. She took a couple of steps while we were away but really started the next week.
She loved the ice pops.
Watering Caitlyn. I guess she is in flowered PJs.
She's not quite ready to do yogurt on her own.
"Tray's all clear."
Maddie and Caitlyn took swim lessons every day for 2 weeks. I think it helped them both enjoy the water more. I was exhausted after the two weeks though because the lessons were at Vanderbilt and I'd get stuck in rush hour traffic on the way home. Plus it was right at dinner time.
Elaine visited for a long weekend.
Nashville has so many things to do with kids. We went to Monkey Joes.
We went to Centennial park to picnic and feed the ducks.
We also visited Daddy's new office
The future Dr. Schneider.
Practicing with Caitlyn.
We ate Mexican and watched a magician.
A good activity when both kids get up too early from naps was pudding painting. Maddie helped make the pudding and both girls enjoyed eating it.
A great follow-up to this activity was bathing Caitlyn in the sink. Kept the girls occupied for another 20 minutes.
