6 months old!!!!

Maddie is 6 months today! It's been a great half a year, and has flown by.

  • She can roll both ways. I constantly move her back to her starting point because she'll almost be under the coffee table or getting close to the edge of the bed.

  • Her first tooth is popping up. No sign of a second tooth yet.

  • She can almost sit on her own. I still support her since she tends to fall to the side.

  • She loves glasses. Whenever I'm drinking she reaches for the glass and licks the outside. Occasionally she'll put her mouth over the rim. If I'm drinking water I'll tip the glass back for her. She loves this but all the water ends up down the front of my shirt. She also loves coke bottles and cans. Don't worry, I don't tip those back for her.

  • She's been on four plane trips. We went to New Jersey, Baltimore twice, and to Dallas. We have also driven to Dallas (stopping in Memphis and Little Rock along the way), Indianapolis, and Cincinnati. Everyone wants to meet our little Maddie girl.

  • She loves standing.

  • She loves being kissed in the belly or her ear. I love it because I get to hear her cute laugh.

  • She gives hugs and kisses. She reaches for my face and puts her mouth to my cheek (her kiss). It's so sweet.

  • She loves being read to, but at this point she's not interested in the story, just playing with and sucking on the book. Board books are her favorite since the corners are rounded and the pages don't get wet.

  • She loves baths. If she's fussy at bed time I'll turn on the faucet to let her know it's bath time and she'll start smiling. She's getting harder to bathe though because she's so squirmy. She tries to lay in the water and put her face under it.

  • She's a tall girl. She's still in 6 month clothing, except for clothing with feet. She's in 9 month clothing for those, and some 12 month. Her 6 month appointment is at the end of next week so I'll be sure to post her new stats.

I think that's it. We're still in Dallas. I'll post about that trip later this week.
