Dallas

We traveled to Dallas for Jon's cousin's wedding and to visit his family. It was a wonderful week. We saw Jon's grandmother (whom Maddie adores), visited the zoo, went to the symphony, and spent time with Jon's parents, Uncle Jeff and Aunt CeCe. The drive there was long but we survived. We left at 4 in the morning and got to Dallas at 4 in the afternoon. I think I prefer the early morning drive but the biggest problem was that Jon and I were so tired. We decided that 12 hours is our limit in the car.

Looking sleepy

Best picture I could get without a flash.

These next two pictures were taken in the last hour of the drive. I thought it was great they had smiles and not tears.

We turned our backs for a minute.

Driving to Nanny's

We ate a great Mexican lunch out.

This is where Caitlyn discovered beans and guacamole.

Going back for more.

"mmm, that's good!"

The Dallas zoo.

Beautiful lion.

Making brownies.

Maddie loved playing baby dolls with Natalie and Ellie.

Maddie spent one morning with Nanny while Elaine and I went shopping.

The lollipop gang.

Jeff and Cindy arrive.

Caitlyn's 1st of many birthday celebrations.

Maybe we should have given her a bath AFTER the cake.

We toured Cowboy Stadium. This is us in front of Tony Romo's locker.

Jeff and Cindy introduced us to pizza on the grill. I'm sure it'll be one of our regular meals. We're actually having it tonight.

Doing some yoga together.

Jeff and Cindy spent a lot of time bonding with Maddie. One of the activities was a 45 minute hike. I should remember that trick because Maddie came home and took a 3 hour nap.

The bride and groom with all the family. It was a beautiful wedding.

You Schneiders really are troopers driving all that way! My favorite pictures are the lollipop gang and Caitlyn with the blue icing all over her face :) I've been meaning to try pizza on the grill forever - maybe soon! ps- my mom was here and I showed her the blog and she wanted me to tell you how cute your girls are :)
