Four months old

Caitlyn is 4 months! These past months have flown by. It's hard to imagine life without our precious, chunky, little girl. She is still such a great baby, even though her cry is no longer the soft newborn one but a loud shriek. It sounds especially loud at 3 in the morning! She's not a great sleeper. Some days (like today) all her naps are around 30 minutes long. Other days she'll take a longer afternoon nap. Even if her nap was short she wakes up smiling and happy. This works well for us in the morning since we have so many morning activities throughout the week. She goes to bed between 6 and 7 depending on her nap schedule and will wake up about 3 times over night. I look forward to the day when she's sleeping through the night but at the same time I'm trying to savor every minute of this precious age.

Dinner time

My dad visited to take care of Maddie while we had a fun weekend with friends. They had a great time together.

Ready to hike at Radnor lake.

"I can't understand why Pappy didn't want to wear my little, pink backpack."

"Balance beam at the Summer Olympics 2028 here I come!"

Lefty like her Mommy.

Uncle Jon also came to visit.

Brunch at Cracker Barrel

Caitlyn had to rock in her carseat.

Pappy and Maddie feeding the ducks at Centennial Park.

Meanwhile, Jon and I were at a Wine Festival downtown with our out-of-town friends. We had such a great time. Alyson was the photographer for the weekend and she inspired me to learn more about my camera. She takes such beautiful pictures.

Caitlyn stayed with us in the house we rented close to downtown. I think the weekend
wore her out.

At the zoo with Pappy and Uncle Jon.

She only wanted to hold Jon's hand.

She had one eye in the telescope and the other looking for other kids trying to take the telescope.

Ready for our walk.

Helping me with laundry on Maddie's school day.

Can you tell I love having two girls?

Maddie has adopted the practice of mimicking Jojo on our walks...including lifting her leg at shrubs and fire hydrants...I know, classy.

Fall has arrived!

Running to the park.

Wipeout.

Oh, good, I was starting to go through blog withdrawal! Love, love, love the picture of Maddie's mimicing JoJo - that's hilarious - and the one where you said she only wanted to hold Uncle Jon's hand. I also love how far ahead Jon was before turning around to notice Maddie had wiped out :) Both your girls are adorable! I can't believe Caitlyn is already 4 months old. Looks like you had fun at the wine festival!

Becky you are looking great and your girls are SO cute! :-) it's amazing how kids grow up so fast. good luck with all the night time wakings...lasted for me until Christopher was 2.5! Hopefully Caitlyn will do much better. :-)

You guys should get a slide for your back yard. It looks like Jon really enjoys them.
