Today was Caitlyn's 2 month check up. She's a big girl! She was 23 1/4 inches long (75th percentile) and 12lbs 3 oz (80th percentile). I took Maddie with me to the appointment and asked Jon to meet us there since he's on a light month. I didn't want Maddie in the room while Caitlyn was given shots. Well, it turns out Maddie needed two shots before she starts school in the fall. She was not a happy girl. She screamed her head off and wouldn't calm down for about an hour afterwards. We tried to go out to lunch and I couldn't hear the girl behind the counter because Maddie was screaming so loudly. She only calmed down after she was strapped into her car seat watching Barney on the way home. I'm just glad we don't have to make an extra trip to the pediatrician for these shots, and I'm really glad Jon was there to help out because there's no way I could have done it by myself. Poor little Caitlyn got 5 shots today. She did well and slept for 5 hours this afternoon, woke up for an hour and then went back to bed for the night. I remember Maddie slept through the night for the first time after her 2 month appointment. I'm hoping Caitlyn follows in her sister's footsteps :)
