Jeff's wedding weekend

Jon's brother Jeff got married last weekend in Chicago. We drove up, stopping in Cincinnati for a couple of nights along the way. It was a great way to split up the drive, plus we got to see Gramma and Pappy.

"What mom? I don't know how my dog got into the swing!"

Hanging out on my parent's great front porch.

Our hotel was a block away from the American Doll Girl Place. I couldn't resist taking Maddie there on our one free morning in Chicago. She loved it and I look forward to taking both girls when they're older. We came away with a new baby doll and a red wagon.

The rehearsal dinner was very difficult for me. Caitlyn was upset for a lot of it and Maddie was acting out because she was so tired. We ended up leaving the dinner around 8:30 or so to get the kids to bed.

This little girl, Sophia, was precious. Luckily her mom came prepared and entertained Maddie for a while.

Hanging out in the hotel room the next morning. We all shared a room. It worked out better than I expected.

Maddie was a flower girl at the wedding. She did great and walked down the aisle. I thought she'd be too scared with everyone staring at her. It took her a while but she made it down to me at the front (except she forgot to drop petals). I really meant to take more pictures of her but getting her ready and juggling two kids kept me busy.

The wedding and church were beautiful. I'm so happy for Jeff and Cindy and hope they have a great time on their honeymoon.

The hairdo. I'm so glad I found a kid's salon near the church.

Caitlyn back in the hotel room after the reception. I don't have any pictures of the reception because we left our camera at the church. Luckily the photographer found it for us.

We stopped to see my grandfather on the way back to Cincinnati. It was a short visit but I really enjoyed visiting with him, plus he met Caitlyn for the first time.

This is his sister, Marian.

Caitlyn slept the entire trip.

Maddie traveled well too. She watch a DVD for the majority of the car ride.

Pappy has the magic touch to put babies to sleep.

I think she's relaxed.

Maybe she'll become an oatmeal lover like her Gramma.
